How about joining a short trip before Dokuonji Zazen Session
We are planning to stroll around Takatori-yama area where there are a long arch of “sakura(cherry blossoms)” avenue,“Magaibutsu(large Maitreya sculpure was carved in the stone)”,huge perpendicular sheer rocks, and a view platform on the summit. We are sure you’ll be able to enjoy great views and to get some fine exercise. If you are interested, please e-mail your Name, Nationality and Gender to KSGG at ksgg_zazen@yahoo.co.jp

Schedule : April 1st Saturday, 2017

15:00 Gather at Keikyu-line “OPPAMA”station.
We will walk along a gentle upslope under the arch of sakura trees.
They are expected to begin blooming in the early April.
15:20 Arrive at “SEIYU” supermarket
We can get some snacks and drinks here.
Not far away, there is an entrance of Magaibutsu.
We go up to the steep staircase and enter the zone of
“Indiana Jones” fantasy.
15:50 Arrive at Magaibutsu.
Around 1960s, Maitreya sculpture was carved from the stone
(Middle right picture).
She is very charming in the jungle.
16:10 Arrive at the viewing platform on the summit.
If we’re lucky, we might be able to see Mount Fuji, Izu-Hakone and
Boso peninsula. We have about 30 min to enjoy the beautiful view.
17:00 Gather at the hut of Takatori-yama-park.
You can find a washroom and a shelter here. Let’s have a tea time together.
17:30 We leave Takatori-yama-park.
18:00  Arrive at “OPPAMA”station.
