科学大学での華道紹介は今回が初めてであり、対象者も学生さんではなく教職員の方々ということで、花器、剣山などのお道具類、花材の手配など、紹介者のＫＳＧＧ会員でもあるGさんに大変お世話になった。
あらかじめ余分な枝をはらい、花材の長さや数をそろえて準備し、参加者に好きな花器を選んでもらった。
最初にT会員から、N会員の通訳で、華道の基本を説明。その後、一枝、一輪ずつ、参加者の感性を生かして生けてもらった。
T会員がが、奥行き、高さなどを一人ひとり指導して、参加者それぞれの個性ある作品が出来上がった。
初めての体験でも、２度目の体験でも、皆さんとても「楽しかった！」と満足げな表情を見せてくれた。
［参加者からの感想］
★高さや奥行きを変えることで、花が生き生きと立体的になることを知りました。程よく大胆にぶっさすことが大切だと思いました。とても楽しかったです。
★とても楽しく、お花と向き合う時間に癒されました。お花もさまざまな種類を準備していただき、ダイナミックに生けることができました。また、角度や長さの考え方等、数学的でおもしろいと感じました。
同じお花の種類でも枝ぶりや生け方で表が変わり、個性が出ていて、周りの方のお花を観賞する時間も楽しかったです。
お花を持ち帰り、自宅で生け直したり、花瓶に飾ったりして楽しんでいます。

★母は、何流かの免許を持っていたが、私は剣山に花を挿すのも初めてだった。きれいに見える基本の法則があることも初めて知ったが、花瓶に気軽に花を入れるときも参考にしたいと思う。楽しい体験の時間をありがとうございました。
★This was my first time experiencing Ikebana. It turned out to be a truly wonderful experience for me. Sensei was very kind, and thanks to her clear explanations — as well as the support from the assistant and the translator — I was able to understand the basic rules easily. I was especially impressed by how the student from India was able to grasp the Japanese spirit and express it beautifully in his work. This experience also made me want to learn more about the different schools and principles of Ikebana. Thank you very much for coming to our university and giving us such an incredible moment.
★I was very happy with the workshop. Good instructions and easy to follow. I really liked that sensei took her time to give feedback to each and everyone. Good venue too! Thank you, I have now a new hobby: Ikebana.

★Pretty good experience for a first timer. Beautiful vases, flowers, and everything was organized neatly already. Printouts were helpful in understanding the math of organizing for more filled 3D appearance. Sensei and her assistant went around and helped everyone which is nice.
