Trail Highlights:
・Oyama-dera Temple – Established in the 8th century.

・Miharashi-dai Viewpoint – Offers a panoramic view of the Tokyo metropolis from an elevation of 765 meters.
・Hinata-Yakushi Temple – Also dating back to the 8th century, renowned for its rare thatched-roof architecture.

This year, KSGG hosted two Spring Mt. Oyama Hikes. The short (history-focused) course drew 12 participants on April 19, and the long (trekking-focused) course attracted 10 participants on April 29.

– The explanations.

Q2 What could be improved for future tours?
– Trip with faster pace would be awesome
– Make sure that people are applying for the correct difficulty so as not to slow down the pace of the whole group during the hike.
– I would appreciate it if the tour dates could coincide with the dates of cultural festivals.

– Sometimes the pace was too slow
– It was very nice, also very nice talking to all the guides, but it would be nice to make sure that people are actually at the level they’re applying for.

– The Japanese people have a very sincere and respectful relationship with nature, and they take great care to protect it. I clearly felt this after returning from a hiking tour. Clothes were still clean and neat, without even a speck of dust.
